Crossfit Kids is not simply a scaled down version of Crossfit, it is an entirely unique Crossfit program that is geared towards our young generation. Crossfit Kids has been designed with the specific developmental needs of this young and growing population in mind.
Our Crossfit Kids program is run by Coach Katy, a Crossfit Level 1 Certificate holder, and certified by the Crossfit Kids HQ Seminar Staff. Coach Katy has also been classically trained in the field of Education.
The Crossfit Kids program teaches proper technique and mechanics in a wide variety of functional and athletic movements. The classes focus on FUN and offer exciting and novel material, which is different with each new class. Our program teaches children to love fitness by making it fun and accessible to each of them. Each child is instructed at his or her own level, allowing each child to experience a new challenge and reward with each class.
Crossfit Kids seeks to develop General Physical Preparedness in children by encompassing all ten General Physical Skills: strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, stamina, speed, agility, power, cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, and accuracy. In developing these skills, Crossfit Kids prepares children for the demands of life.
Our Crossfit Kids classes range from ages 5-14 years old and include a dynamic warm up, skill development, a workout and finish it all off with a game. Each class lasts approximately 45 minutes.
