What motivates you to “Crossfit?”

Do you spend most of your workout looking around the gym to see how you are comparing to others?

Or focusing on the task at hand, giving your all, one rep at a time?

The first approach is based on a competitive mindset, and will either boost or crush your ego, based on things outside of your control.

The second approach is an achievement-based mindset, and will result in personal satisfaction or dissatisfaction, based on things entirely in your control.

It will also encourage creativity and innovation, and thinking outside the box.

Ironically, when we’re focused on beating others, we’re actually limiting ourselves to a narrow way of thinking and behaving.

These principles also hold true in other areas of life: business, parenting, school, career….
